A line up of stored trams at Ayres Road depot with lines headed by 1001 1004 1020 1019 2002 and 1013

Tram 3016 arrives at Heaton Park with a service curtailed to Abraham Moss due to engineering work.

Lined up at Ardwick were 185118 350402 350401 and 350403.

390119 sits on the blocks at Piccadilly.

Near Juntion 12 of the M6.

R/R: Webb: 038 was travelling southbound on a low loader.

Between Junctions 17 and 18 of the M6.

Carriage: Mk3: An unidentified Mk3 in First dynamic lines livery was travelling southbound on a low loader.

 

Time was spent observing trams, however the network was severed due to work at Victoria and other places.

Trams assumed as stored: 1001/03*/04/06/08/13/14/19/20/21/25/26, 2002/05. (plus others). Trams stabled: 3021/23/25/26/41/53/65/70/71/75/76.

Passing: 3003/09/12/19/20/44/48.

Note: Trams 1004 and 1006 both carry the name "Vans The original since 1966" as a form of advertising.

 

Heaton Park and Queens Road stations.

Trams observed were operating the section between Bury and Abraham Moss, which turned back on the depot approach lines at Queens Road.

Notes: The worksplate carried by No.3157 says VF 3064/11.

The cab of Electric 76039 (26039) is also on display with the name HECTOR. Planet was in steam and giving rides with Replica Coaches No's 7 & 8.

Wagon 182568 was not seen.

Manchester Corporation 765/1914 -- (undergoing work on its running gear).

Blackpool Corporation 619/1987 (carrying 7) - stored outside, rebuild of OMO Car 7, which was also a rebuild in 1973.

Blackpool Corporation 752/1923 - rail grinder stored.

Rawtenstall 23/1912 - dismantled & sheeted awaiting full restoration.

 

Lakeside Shed (Newly Built) ;

Blackpool Corporation 623/1937 (ex 286).

Hull City 96/1901 (later Leeds City 6).

Manchester Corporation 173/1901.

Road Railer - 2/R610 NMJ (Rexquote/Ausa Access Platform) - formerly at the West Midlands Metro and Black Country Living Museum.

It was ascertained that the other trams owned by Heaton Park Tramway were at the following locations :

Blackpool Corporation 702/1934 (ex 239) -- East Lancashire Railway.

Manchester Carriage & Tramways Co Horse Drawn L53/1880 -- Bury Transport Museum.

Oldham Corporation 43/1902 -- currently stored at an undisclosed farm in  'Airfix Kit Form' awaiting full restoration.

Blackpool Corporation 680/1935 (ex 280) -- North of England Open Air Museum, Beamish.

Blackpool Corporation 708/1934 (ex 245) -- Undisclosed location in Sunderland, for minor restoration work.

Manchester Corporation 173/1901 returned from the Greater Manchester Museum of Transport in December 2013.
