There was a rail connected dilapidated and asbestos contaminated building which the party were not allowed to enter. The steam loco No40 (above) could be seen through a gap in the front doors but the rest of the contents could not be seen. Reported to be inside were coaches 1254 3188 3774 9711.

Due to staff shortages the service from Mallaig, 156450/458, was terminated at Fort William, with a bus to Crianlarich. On arrival low and behold the two 156’s we left behind in Fort William rolled into the station ECS. I can only assume there was no Train Manager available.
